In Southern Africa lies a river that that belongs to a host of nationalities because of the distance it travels. From rising in Zambia, the Zambezi River flows through Angola, Namibia, separates Zimbabwe and Zambia, and travels through Mozambique, all before entering the Indian Ocean. After the Nile, Zaire, and Niger rivers, the Zambezi is the fourth largest river in Africa and attracts adventurers from around the world.

The Zambezi creates a border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, two must-visit African destinations for travellers. One of the most famous attractions that brings so many people to these countries is Victoria Falls, or, Mosi-oa-Tunya (meaning The Smoke that Thunders) – its original name. The sight of this group of waterfalls is enough to move even the most hard-hearted person; one cannot help but be stirred by the majesty of the falls, and the beauty as the raging water creates rainbows. One can visit this natural wonder from Zambia or Zimbabwe.

Both these countries offer travellers a multitude of adventures to go on when visiting, making them ultimate destinations when travelling in Southern Africa.
